CYAC Blades Program

FIGURE SKATING

Learn the basics with a USFSA professional!

Dates:   December 26th – February 27th  (9 weeks)

Day:    Saturdays

Time:    9:15 – 10:30 am

Who:   Boys & Girls ages 5-18, adv-beginner skating skills and higher

Location:   Lions Park Ice Rink ~ Red Lodge

Fee:   $30 – Combine with Hockey program for only $40 total!

*Fee assistance is available or parents can volunteer their time!*

For those who are not current Boys & Girls Club members, an additional $10 fee will apply. This will include a year of full membership privileges at the Boys & Girls Club.

Equipment:  Helmet and figure skates required.  Loaner equipment available on a first-come-first-serve basis – Register Early!

Coach Leslie Albright is a member of the

US Figure Skating Association and

professional instructor in figures, free style, choreography, and power-skate. 

ICE HOCKEY

Skills, drills, and game-time for all levels!

Dates:    December 26th – February 27th (9 weeks)

Days:   Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays

Times:   4 – 5 pm (Mon & Wed) and 10:30 – 11:45 am (Saturdays)

Who:   Boys & Girls ages 5-18, all skill levels

Location:   Lions Park Ice Rink ~ Red Lodge

Fee:   $40 – Combine with Figure or Learn-to-Skate for the same low price!

*Fee assistance is available or parents can volunteer their time!*

For those who are not current Boys & Girls Club members, an additional $10 fee will apply. This will include a year of full membership privileges at the Boys & Girls Club.

EQUIPMENT:  Helmet with cage, skates, stick, and mouth guard required. Loaner equipment available on a first-come-first-serve basis - Register early!

LEARN-to-SKATE

REGISTRATION: 

DECEMBER 19th at the Boys & Girls Club from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Be sure to register by the 19th to avoid late registration fees - ugh!  LATE REGISTRATION will be accepted only through December 31st and will incur an additional $10 fee!

 

 

 

Traditional Youth Wrestling

Season:   November 24 – December 22

Days:    Tuesdays & Thursdays

Times:    3:45  – 4:45 pm

Who plays:   Boys & Girls in grades 2nd  -  6th

Location:   The Old Roosevelt School

Fee:   $20 (fee assistance is available, if needed)

For those who are not current Boys & Girls Club members, an additional yearly  $10 fee will apply.  This will include a full year’s membership to the Boys & Girls Club.

Equipment provided: We have everything you need, including headgear and a yours-to-keep CYAC t-shirt!

Please bring a water bottle and wear sweats or shorts and clean sneakers.

Registration: November 16 -20 & 23  from 1-6pm.

All-American Wrestler.  Wayne has over 10 years of  coaching experience and is a former Class 4A head coach.

Mission

The Community Youth Athletic Club (CYAC) is a youth sports and fitness program that encourages active, lifelong participation in and appreciation for physically and emotionally healthy lifestyles. CYAC offers a democratic framework to all youth, regardless of gender, ability, socio-economic background, or circumstances the resources and opportunities to take part in the enriching lessons that the culture of athletics can provide. CYAC seeks to fulfill its mission by:

  1. Maintaining a structured, central organization to streamline day-to-day operational systems and enable greater community-wide participation;

  2. Ensuring a large variety of year-round sports and fitness activities to all area youth;

  3. Providing training to staff, coaches, volunteers and parents to ensure positive psychological and physiological outcomes for participants.

CYAC Gold Cup

Encourage your child to participate in multiple sports to increase self-confidence and achieve healthy attitudes about fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork… All while working towards bringing home the CYAC Gold Cup! Each level of participation brings a new reward to each child.

First Sport – CYAC Superstar Ribbon
Second Sport – CYAC Bronze Medal
Third Sport – CYAC Silver Medal
Fourth Sport – CYAC Gold Cup

 

Registration

Registration for all CYAC activities will take place at the Boys & Girls Club on the corner of 9th Street and Villard, south of Beartooth Market. All CYAC participants must complete a yearly membership form for the Boys & Girls Club of Carbon County. You may wish to download the Club Membership Form (if not a registered member yet) and the CYAC Registration Form and complete them before arriving at the Club to register your child for an activity.

Inclement Weather Policy

If the temperature drops below 0 degrees Fahrenheit or rises above 90 degrees Fahrenheit practice for that day will be OPTIONAL! Should your child decide to participate, parents are required to stay at the facility (no drop –off) in the event that practice ends early due to weather conditions. Coaches reserve the right to cancel practice due to inclement weather or unsafe field/facility conditions. Make-up sessions will be announced!

Events and Clinics

Coaches Training Clinics: Specialized, nationally recognized training and certification for volunteer coaches.

Parent Awareness Clinics: Promote your child’s healthy habits and learn your role in increasing his or her success.

Participants’ Recognition Banquet: Gather together each autumn and recognize the accomplishments of our CYAC youth!
